Alan joined Taylor & Associates in May 2017. A native of South Florida, he attended law school at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, FL, graduating in May 2015 and passing the Florida bar exam in September 2015. Before joining Taylor & Associates, Alan practice elder law, estate planning, and veterans benefits at Family Elder Law in Lake Wales, FL.
During law school, Alan completed two semesters of the Medical-Legal Partnership Clinic at FIU, partnering with the medical, nursing, and social work schools to assist low income Miami-Dade residents with estate planning, health care access, medical debt relief, and advocacy. Alan also interned with Florida Legal Services in Miami, FL and the Reyes Law Firm in Coral Gables, FL.
Alan has served in the U.S. Army since July 2008, serving on active duty in Fort Riley, Kansas until May 2012. After discharge from active service, he transferred to the Army Reserves and continues to serve as a Captain assigned to a Legal Operations unit in Orlando, FL. He deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in 2010-2011 for twelve months in support of Operation New Dawn. Alan has served as a unit commander three times in the Army Reserves, including most recently the commander of 623rd Inland Cargo Transfer Company in West Palm Beach, FL.
Alan has been happily married since 2008 to his wife Gretchen, and they have one son, Avi.
